My first and all-consuming passion is music. I love singing, performing, traveling. I especially love the rush I get while on stage.. it's a different feeling altogether! I was born and brought up in Canada/US in a musical family(although I did live in India for a couple of years as a child). Music started out as a family hobby, where growing up, we would perform on weekends at events. Looking back, I have to thank my parents for making me who I am today, as a person and as an artist! I thank my siblings, Neel and Urvi, for always being there as my support,and I also thank my friends. Today my husband, Kinjal, is my biggest motivator and support, without whom I wouldn't be doing what I am! Also, Azim Ahmed of Musik Waves has contributed a lot to my popularity in the South Asian community in the Tri-State Area. In addition to nurturing this talent growing up, I pursued finance after graduating from Rutgers University with an Economics and Political Science degree (I worked for ADP & Dow Jones in the past few years). As a person, I believe in living life to the fullest and try to follow the principal that "nothing is impossible once you set your mind to it."
